Step into a future with Elsewhere in India – a one-night-only immersive audiovisual experience.

The night kicks off with KERFEW collective’s DJ Brown Suga Princess bringing global club energy, before Indian electronica pioneers Murthovic and Thiruda launch Elsewhere in India.  This high energy performance propels you into the future – India 2079 and tells the story of Meenakshi, a cyborg activist fighting to preserve humanity’s fading cultural memory.

Joined by special guest, Vinod Prasanna on the bansuri flute, the performance blends electronica, cinematic 3D game worlds, generative AI, classical dance, and remixed archival footage, into a vivid cinematic journey.

Wrap up the night by diving deeper into the creative process with arts advocate Amrit Gill hosting a live Q&A with the creators.

Elsewhere in India

Elsewhere in India pioneers ‘Indofuturism’ in world building through next-gen characters and electro-classical dance music, raising questions about the future of society and culture. The project is a collaboration between Indian electronica pioneers Murthovic (music producer / DJ) and Thiruda (visual artist / VJ). Seeded by British Council’s India/UK Season of Culture 2022-23, the project is co-produced by UK based transmedia producers Crossover Labs.

‘Elsewhere in India is a game about conserving lost artefacts of traditional culture, and follows Meenakshi, an out-of-work cyborg built for preservation work.’ – BBC Culture (2023)
